TRANSFORMATIONAL EDUCATION THROUGH A HANDSON REFRESHER TRAINING OF PRIMARY TEACHERS IN KAKUMIRO DISTRICT
The people of Bunyoro are excited about the proposed Public University Project in Bunyoro Region and at the same time are concerned about the capacity of local people to enroll in the University in significant numbers.
Through consultations and supervision of government programmes in the district, the Prime minister of the republic of Uganda Rt. Hon. Robinah Nabbanja has noted that Education performance is still lagging behind. The academic standards in government schools is wanting and needs to be revamped.
A handson refresher training for all primary school teachers has been organised in collaboration with the District Education team to help raise awareness and equip these teachers with skills that will enable them address changes in the new curriculum and enable them adjust to the changes thus improve performance in schools.
